It’s a great way to meet working professionals in the post industry with whom you can network and build relationships. It’s also an opportunity to gain a real sense of community, in both a supportive and inclusive environment, and an excellent resource for learning new skills.

We represent all the underrepresented in the BC film industry. We are post!

Absolutely! Any VPA member is whole heartedly welcome to volunteer and help out on one or more of our committees, or just generally as desired.

Get in touch with us at and we’ll get back to you with the next steps involved.

Join our Slack Workspace and get connected immediately with members of the post community.  You can reach out with questions, concerns, or even let us know you’re available and looking for work.  It’s a great way to introduce yourself too.
Another great way to get started would be to look into the VPA’s mentorship program. It gives you access to seasoned professionals with whom you can gain a wealth of knowledge, from how to get started, industry best practices, pointers to raise your professional working game, and more! Learn more about the mentorship program here.
It can be a little overwhelming when just starting out, but there are lots of things you can do to put your best foot forward. We encourage you to come out and participate at our events and network with other people working in your sector of post. Put a face to a name and you will be remembered!
We currently have 5 levels of membership available in the VPA.
  1. Professional Member (for individuals employed in, or providing services in support of post in BC)
  2. Associate Member (for individuals or agencies working primarily in fields outside of post production in BC)
  3. Student Member (a discounted membership open to students who are actively enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an academic film/media related program in BC)
  4. Corporate A Member (for BC based companies engaged primarily in the business of post production supplies and services. Available for businesses with 4 or more employees)
  5. Corporate B Member (same as Corp A, but for small businesses with 1 to 3 employees)
You can read up more about the details of each level, as well as pricing, by visiting our sign up page here.
That’s amazing! We are always looking for feedback or ideas on how we can make the VPA even stronger. Please email us at and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
You can also message us directly on Slack.  Sign up here and get connected.
