About Me | Kaitlyn Redcrow is a nêhiyaw iskwêw filmmaker from Saddle Lake Cree Nation, Alberta. She is a graduate of the Indigenous Digital Filmmaking and Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts programs at Capilano University. In her time as a location sound recordist and aspiring sound designer, she’s worked on awarding films such as Brother, I Cry (2018), Dancing Through (2021), and Joe Buffalo (2021). Kaitlyn has also worked on B.C: An Untold History (2021), a compelling historical docuseries on Knowledge Network which has been recently awarded various Leo Awards including Best Sound in a Documentary Series. When not working as a location sound recordist, Kaitlyn works with her partner to develop and produce projects based on the Indigenous experience while collaborating with other artists to create authentic Indigenous content. She respectfully acknowledges that she works and resides on the Unceded Territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
