The new year seems to be coming in with a bit of a proverbial bang. All sorts of great opportunities are popping up on the calendar, from EditCon, hosted by CCE, to the VES awards in February. CreativeBC is putting on an “Inclusive Leadership” workshop, and the new ownership of the Park Theatre is kicking off a screening series that we should all try to get to.
Crazy 8s had their 2026 launch, and Run & Gun isn’t far behind. In short, it’s an embarrassment of riches for those of us who love to get involved.
I am most excited (no offence to our community partners) for what VPA is planning. The board has been spending a lot of time plotting and planning what our community’s 2026 might look like. A key component of our planning is our Strategic Planning Session, which is scheduled for February 9th. It might sound boring, but it is actually one of the best meetings we hold all year. We examine our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as an organization. This meeting guides our focus and ambitions for the upcoming year.
This is where you come in. We would love to have your voice in this room. If you have any issues that you are particularly passionate about, please do let us know by emailing me at kelsy@vancouverpostalliance.com, and we will ensure they are on the agenda.
