About Me | Brad Goodman has more than twenty-five years of entertainment industry experience in post production and visual effects management. He has supervised post production for many of Hollywood’s most prolific filmmakers and has delivered productions to virtually every Hollywood studio as well as many international production and distribution entities. Mr. Goodman began his career at Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. From 1984 to 1992 he participated in the production or post production of the films Empire of the Sun, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Always, An American Tail, The Land Before Time, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade and the Back to the Future trilogy. In 1992 Mr. Goodman became a freelance Post Production Supervisor. Over the next five years his credits included Death Becomes Her, The Hunted, Casino, The Long Kiss Goodnight and Twister. At this time Mr. Goodman ran a side business renting editing equipment to film productions and gathered expertise in the field. Mr. Goodman joined the then newly formed DreamWorks SKG in 1997 where he oversaw post production on the studio’s first feature film release, The Peacemaker, followed by the films Mousehunt, Deep Impact and Small Soldiers. After a stint in the dotcom world of the late 90’s, Mr. Goodman returned to freelance post production supervising and consulting in 2001. Since that time he has worked on a wide variety of studio and independent films including Bubble Boy, The Good Girl, Far From Heaven, The Big Bounce, Hostage, Borat, Religulous, Brüno, In Time and the remake of Red Dawn. In addition to his work on bigger budget films, Mr. Goodman has been a supervisor or consultant on numerous smaller projects including the documentary The Last Days, winner of the 1998 Academy Award for Best Feature Documentary and the 2014 Academy Award nominated documentary Finding Vivian Maier. In 2012 Mr. Goodman relocated to Vancouver, Canada and oversaw post production on the MRC/Sony film Elysium, from Director Neill Blomkamp. He was a workflow consultant on the film Tomorrowland and was the Post Production Supervisor for the film Chappie. Mr. Goodman completed The Angry Birds Movie for Rovio Entertainment in June 2016. The film was a box office success, with revenues in excess of $350 million worldwide. In 2017 Mr. Goodman spent a year as a Post Production Executive for Air Bud Entertainment and in 2018 was Associate Producer of Malibu Rescue Movie and Malibu Rescue Season One for Pacific Bay Entertainment and Netflix. In August 2019 Mr. Goodman began work as Co Producer and Post Supervisor on the Netflix Feature A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting, produced by Ivan Reitman and Walden Media. The film was dropped on Netflix in October 2020. In late 2020 Mr. Goodman officially launched FrameRiver (www.frameriver.net), a management solutions company based in two cities with associates around the globe. Mr. Goodman was a founding member of the Vancouver Post Alliance (VPA), was a board member for six years and remains an active member of the growing Vancouver Post Production Community, Mr. Goodman is a dual citizen of Canada and the US. |
