On June 1, we had the pleasure of welcoming over 200 members of Vancouver’s post-production community to another sold-out VPA Summer BBQ at Craft Beer Market in English Bay.
From reconnecting with colleagues and making new connections to enjoying great food, drinks, and one of the best waterfront views in the city, it was a fantastic way to kick off the summer together.
We’re also proud to share that, thanks to your generosity, we raised $1,500 for the BC Cancer Foundation through our raffle fundraiser! Congratulations to our raffle winners, and a huge thank you to our generous prize donors: Western Imperial, Line 21, and Oddfellows.
Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the support of our volunteers, sponsors, dedicated VPA team, and, most importantly, our incredible members. Thank you for celebrating with us, for supporting one another, and for being part of the Vancouver Post Alliance community. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
This event is for VES and VPA Members only. VPA members, please use the promo code

VPA Summer Wellness Series
Supporting the Mind Behind the Work
Post-production runs on focus, pressure, and constant gear-switching — and that takes a toll over time. The VPA is partnering with our friend and colleague Shanelle Connell, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with Therapy: Off Script (a practice built specifically for film and entertainment professionals), on a short video series for our members.
Here`s what she`ll be covering:
COGNITIVE SWITCHING COST — The Art of Depletion Through Distraction: Why constant task-switching quietly drains your focus and creativity, even on a "normal" day.
THE TORTURED ARTIST — Why Great Work Only Feels Possible When You Suffer: Challenging the myth that burnout is the price of doing great work.
FINDING IDENTITY — Because When Work Slows, Who Are You Really? What happens to our sense of self between projects — and how to build an identity that isn`t tied to being busy.
👉️ The first video, “COGNITIVE SWITCHING COST”, is now up on our website! Check it out here at our link in Bio!
